Premiered on the Old First Church Concert Series in San Francisco, California, 1980.

Notes: The three movements fall into a fast/slow/fast pattern and are quasi-tonal in nature with emphasis on quartal and quintal chord structures. Each movement in itself fits, roughly, into an ABA form as well, out of an attraction to the idea of return to a sort of “home” area or mood.
